Europe's Midnight Oil Tribute Band
Formed by a group of devoted Powderworkers - fans of iconic Australian rock legends, Midnight Oil - The Oil Spills came together in December 2022, and performed our debut gig at the European Powderworkers Meetup in Utrecht in June 2023.
We've played a few times since, and you'll find YouTube links to all our performances below ... just click the relevant picture!
We just love playing and sharing the music of Midnight Oil, and hope to be doing it again soon, once we can line up the diaries of 9 people from 4 different countries, most of whom also have regular full-time jobs!
Our very generous Powderworker friend, Kien Kienos, kindly printed a load of posters for our gig in Delft, Netherlands, in May 2026, and they're now available as souvenirs ... check the link at the top of the page.
The price includes a donation to Cancer Research UK, in memory of Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst and bass player Bones Hillman, both of whom were taken from us by that cruel disease.
